THE OPPORTUNITY
Project information IS scattered across spreadsheets, emails, meetings, and disconnected tools, making it difficult to understand project health, ownership, and delivery status. Leadership lackS a consistent way to evaluate projects across the organization, while project teams spent significant time maintaining documentation instead of delivering work.
The opportunity extends beyond replacing spreadsheets—it required establishing a scalable platform that standardized project management while supporting operational decision-making across the business.
Early concept exploration focused on simplifying enterprise project management while balancing business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs. Brainstorming sessions helped define core workflows, prioritize features, and establish the product architecture that guided the rest of the design process.
I think "From Ideas to Strategy" is the strongest heading because it reinforces that brainstorming wasn't just about generating ideas—it was about turning those ideas into a product direction. That's the kind of framing that resonates with hiring managers looking for someone who can lead discovery and influence product strategy.
BRAINSTORMING AND DISCOVERY
The dashboard was designed to provide an immediate understanding of portfolio health across the organization. Information is prioritized using a clear visual hierarchy, allowing users to quickly assess project status without navigating through multiple reports.
Filters positioned on the left support rapid discovery, while sortable columns allow teams to organize information based on their workflow. Status views, progress indicators, and upcoming milestone dates surface potential risks early, enabling proactive project management instead of reactive reporting.
PORTFOLIO DASHBOARD
Designed specifically for executive leadership and steering committee meetings, this view consolidates project health, ownership, milestones, governance, and delivery into a single presentation-ready experience.
I collaborated closely with engineering to define the data model supporting milestone tracking, introducing dedicated baseline, planned, and actual date fields that automatically calculate schedule variance. This ensured project health reflected real-time delivery performance rather than manual reporting, giving leadership immediate visibility into projects that were ahead of or behind schedule.

A project's success starts with the quality of its data. I designed the creation workflow to capture the information needed for planning, governance, and executive reporting while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.
